So, I went to see Mr. Gore DJ and had a really great night. I’m not much of a writer but, I feel compelled to share my experience. My friend and I arrived at the venue about 7:45 PM or so. We got our drinks sorted out and mingled a little. There weren’t too many people there yet. My friend was wearing some tall heels that were hurting her feet and she was a little under the weather so she decided to sit for a few.
читать дальшеMr. Gore entered the building through the front entrance like everyone else about 30 minutes later. He was accompanied by his girlfriend and Jonathan Kessler. They proceeded to mingle, then made their way to an area next to the stage where they stood for the rest of the evening. As the venue began to fill with people they noticed him and went over to chat, get autographs and pictures. I wasn’t planning on going up to him because I prefer to admire from afar but, then I thought to myself “you may never have this opportunity again” so I decided to go for it.
He was facing away from me when I walked up so I placed my hand on his arm. He turned to face me. The first thing I noticed is that photos do not do him justice. You know how some people look better in person than they do in pictures?? He is definitely one of those people. The place was loud so I leaned into his ear and thanked him for taking time out to chat. I said that it is nice to see that he is so humble and asked him for a photo. He smiled and put his arm around me and my friend took our pic. I thanked him and wished him a good night. He thanked me and that was that. :0)
I didn’t feel starstruck or nervous…I actually felt very comfortable. I was full of energy and hit the dancefloor early. DJ Matty was great. I found my spot for the evening right up front. Once it was time for Martin to do his thing it got a little more crowded. There was a young woman and her boyfriend/husband next to me. She was very excited and seemed very intoxicated. She said she loves DM and hugged me a few times. LOL..
Then Martin stepped onto the “stage”. The place went crazy. There was a technical problem at the beginning but, the set got underway promptly. I noticed that the young woman next to me kept reaching out to Martin and she was touching some of the equipment. At one point I swatted her hand away. Suddenly she reached up and closed his laptop. I was surprised. Martin told her to “fuck off”. She was promptly removed from the front. Not sure if she was removed from the building. As the set went on another female took the place of the one who was there before. She also appeared to be drunk. She was wearing huge platform boots and was unsteady on her feet. She kept holding onto the table and was told repeatedly by security to step away. She stumbled and fell at one point and people around her helped her up. Again, she grabbed the table and was finally taken out. The people who came up after her were great. We danced, laughed and joked together.
Martin works with such precision. He seems so focused. I of course don’t know him personally but, he seemed to be in great spirits and danced alot. There was good energy flowing all around. He high fived a guy a couple times and seemed to really enjoy himself. The night came to a close too soon. I met a couple of nice people who I hope to remain in contact with. All in all it was a magical night that I won’t soon forget.
